Why does rust occur?: As time goes by, the metal reacts with the components of the environment in which it is placed and transforms into a compount.
The phenomenon in which the apperance and function are impaired is called "corrosion", and the product produced by this phenomenon is called "rust".
Is there some way to prevent rust?: Generally, methods such as cathodic protection, chemical conversion treatment and anticorrosion coating (rust prevention) are considered effective.
What kind of paint is recommended to prevent rust?: Essentially,
there are three types:
"oil-based rust preventive paint/ phthalic acid resin rust preventive paint", "organic or inorganic zinc rich paint" and "epoxy/ urethane resin paint".
Which kind of places are anticorrosion paints applied to?: It can be used in every place which has steel structures such as general steel frame, factory building sheel frames, pedestals, signboards, handrails, gates, lightweight steel frames, construction steel frames, etc.
